Paul R. Edick - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Edick is the Chief Executive Officer of Durata Therapeutics, a start-up biopharmaceutical company addressing the growing need for new therapeutics to treat infectious diseases. Durata’s lead product candidate, dalbavancin, is in late stage clinical development. Durata is supported by a premier team of venture capital organizations: New Leaf Venture Partners, LLC, Domain Associates, LLC, Aisling Capital, Sofinnova Ventures Inc. and Canaan Partners.

Prior to starting Durata, Mr. Edick was CEO of GANIC Pharmaceuticals, a Warburg Pincus investment vehicle. Before GANIC, Mr. Edick was CEO of MedPointe Healthcare Inc., a position he assumed in Q1 of 2006. MedPointe Healthcare was a US based specialty pharmaceutical company located in Somerset New Jersey. Mr. Edick led the growth of the commercial business and development of a clinical stage portfolio at MedPointe before negotiating the sale of MedPointe in 3Q 2007 to Meda AB, Sweden and separating in 1Q 2008.

Mr. Edick has extensive industry experience from several leading pharmaceutical organizations. During the period of April 2002–Q1 2006 Mr. Edick held the position as President of MedPointe Healthcare Inc. Between 1994-2002, in a series of positions at G. D. Searle and its acquirer, Pharmacia Corporation, he led Searle's US managed care organization (1994-95), its US marketing organization (1995-96), and its Global Pain & Inflammation Business including development of the commercialization and launch plan for Celebrex® (1996-97). In 1998, Mr. Edick was named Searle's VP-Canada & Latin America. In 1999, Mr. Edick became President of Asia Pacific, Canada & Latin America. In 2000, upon Pharmacia's acquisition of Searle, Mr. Edick was named Group Vice President and President, Asia Pacific/Latin America at Pharmacia. Mr. Edick holds a B.A. in Psychology from Hamilton College, Clinton, New York.

Mr. Edick is currently an Independent Director of Amerita, Inc., a private home infusion therapy company located in Irvine California and NewLink Genetics, a Cancer Immunotherapy company located in DesMoines, Iowa. Until recently, Mr. Edick was an Independent Director of Life Cycle Pharma, a public technology based biotech located in Copenhagen, Denmark, for whom he served as Chairman and Informed Medical Communications, a private medical communications company serving the pharmaceutical industry located in Edison, New Jersey.

Michael Dunne, MD – Chief Medical Officer

Michael Dunne, M.D., has over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, Dr. Dunne was the Vice President and Therapeutic Area Head responsible for the clinical development of compounds in the Anti-Infective Franchise at Pfizer, Inc. In that role he was responsible for the development and successful registration of various anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral products, including those for treatment of HIV infection. Dr. Dunne is a member of the infectious Diseases Society of America, the American Society of Microbiology, as well as the American College of Physicians. He received his MD degree at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn. He also completed a fellowship in infectious diseases and pulmonary medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.

Corey N. Fishman - Chief Operating Officer

Corey N. Fishman has over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry leading a variety of functions including operations, finance, business development and strategy. Mr. Fishman has negotiated and closed over $1 billion of transactions in the pharmaceutical industry. His most recent position was as Chief Financial Officer of GANIC Pharmaceuticals, a Warburg Pincus company. Before that, he was CFO of MedPointe Healthcare, where he led finance, manufacturing, supply chain, business development and portfolio optimization. Previously, he served in senior level finance positions in both private and public companies, where he raised over $50M in the capital markets and executed multiple debt refinancing. He also held a senior position in Monsanto Company’s global financial planning and analysis organization. Mr. Fishman received his BA degree from the University of Illinois and his Masters in Management from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
