Paul R. Edick - CEO at Durata Therapeutics, Inc
Mr. Edick is the Chief Executive Officer of Durata Therapeutics, a start-up biopharmaceutical company addressing the growing need for new antibiotics to treat infectious diseases. Durata’s lead product candidate, dalbavancin, is in late stage clinical development. Durata is supported by a premier team of venture capital organizations- New Leaf Venture Partners, LLC, Domain Associates, LLC, Aisling Capital, Sofinnova Ventures Inc. and Canaan Partners.
Prior to starting Durata, Mr. Edick was CEO of Ganic Pharmaceuticals, a Warburg Pincus investment vehicle. Before Ganic, Mr. Edick was CEO of MedPointe Healthcare Inc., a position he assumed in Q1 of 2006. MedPointe Healthcare was a US based specialty pharmaceutical company located in Somerset New Jersey, USA. Mr. Edick led the growth of the commercial business and development of a clinical stage portfolio at MedPointe before negotiating the sale of MedPointe in 3Q 2007 to Meda AB, Sweden and separating in 1Q, 2008.
Mr. Edick has extensive industry experience from several leading pharmaceutical organizations. During the period of April 2002 – Q1 2006 Mr. Edick held the position as President of MedPointe Healthcare Inc. Between 1994-2002, in a series of positions at G. D. Searle and its acquirer, Pharmacia Corporation, he led Searle's US managed care organization (1994-95), its US marketing organization (1995-96), and its Global Pain & Inflammation Business including the development of the commercialization and launch plan for Celebrex® (1996-97). In 1998, Mr. Edick was named Searle's VP-Canada & Latin America. In 1999, Mr. Edick became President of Asia Pacific, Canada & Latin America. In 2000, upon Pharmacia's acquisition of Searle, Mr. Edick was named Group Vice President and President, Asia Pacific/Latin America at Pharmacia. Mr. Edick holds a B.A. in Psychology from Hamilton College, Clinton, New York, USA
Mr. Edick is currently an Independent Director of Amerita, Inc., a private home infusion therapy company located in Irvine California. Until recently, Mr. Edick was an Independent Director of Life Cycle Pharma, a public technology based biotech located in Copenhagen, Denmark, for whom he served as Chairman and Informed Medical Communications, a private medical communications company serving the pharmaceutical industry located in Edison, New Jersey.
NICOLE VITULLO - PARTNER AT DOMAIN ASSOCIATES, LLC
Ms. Vitullo joined Domain in 1999 and became a Partner in 2004. She has full management responsibility for Domain Public Equity Partners, L.P. and is also involved in distribution/liquidation strategies for the public companies in Domain Associates’ venture capital portfolios. Present board memberships include, Celator Pharmaceuticals; Durata Therapeutics; Esperion Pharmaceuticals, Marinus Pharmaceuticals and VentiRx Pharmaceuticals. Past Board memberships include Calixa, Cerexa, Eunoe and Onyx Pharmaceuticals. From 1992-1999, Ms. Vitullo was Senior Vice President at Rothschild Asset Management, Inc. where she had responsibility for the U.S. public market investments of International Biotechnology Trust plc and Biotechnology Investments Limited. From 1991-1992, Ms. Vitullo served as the Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Cephalon, a publicly traded biotechnology company. Prior to Cephalon, Ms. Vitullo spent 12 years at Eastman Kodak, most recently in Corporate Development where she was involved in the development and management of Kodak’s venture capital activities.

RON HUNT - MANAGING DIRECTOR AT NLV PARTNERS
Ron Hunt is a Managing Director at New Leaf Venture Partners, and focuses on investments in biopharmaceuticals and laboratory infrastructure companies. Ron joined the Sprout Group in January 1998, and was part of the team that spun out of Sprout in 2005 to form New Leaf. Prior to joining Sprout, Ron was a consultant with Coopers & Lybrand Consulting and then with The Health Care Group (a division of the Interpublic Group of companies) for a combined 4 years. His consulting work focused on strategic and operational engagements for clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Prior to entering the consulting field, Ron held a number of sales and marketing positions for a combined 8 years with Johnson & Johnson and SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals. Ron is a graduate of The Wharton School (M.B.A.) and Cornell University (B.S.).

DOV A. GOLDSTEIN - M.D., PARTNER AT AISLING CAPITAL
Dr. Goldstein serves as a Partner of Aisling Capital. Previously, Dr. Goldstein was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Vicuron Pharmaceuticals up until its acquisition by Pfizer for $1.9 billion. While at Vicuron Pharmaceuticals, he raised over $250 million dollars in an IPO, PIPE, Follow-on, and block trade transactions. He led the valuation and finance due diligence for the merger with Biosearch Italia (Nuovo mercato: BIO.MI), the first US and Italian public to public company merger. He also ran the investor relations and press relations efforts for the company. Prior to Vicuron, Dr. Goldstein was Director of Venture Analysis at HealthCare Ventures. He also completed an internship in the Department of Medicine, at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Goldstein currently serves as a director of ADMA Biologics, Inc., BioRelix, Inc., CardioKine, Inc., Cempra Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Durata Therapeutics, Inc., Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. and Topaz Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Dr. Goldstein received his M.D. from Yale School of Medicine. He received his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and his B.S. with honors from Stanford University.

JAMES HEALY - M.D., PH.D., GENERAL PARTNER AT SOFINNOVA VENTURES
Jim Healy, M.D., Ph.D., has over 15 years of experience in biomedical research and development. He joined Sofinnova Ventures as a General Partner in 2000. Jim was an early investor and board member of Cellective (acquired by MedImmune), CoTherix (acquired by Actelion), Novacea (Nasdaq: NOVC), InterMune (Nasdaq: ITMN) and Movetis (NYSE Euronext: MOVE). He also serves on the boards of directors of several private companies.
In the pharmaceutical industry, Jim held a manufacturing position at Bayer Pharmaceuticals (Miles) and helped guide the discovery group at ISTA Pharmaceuticals prior to its initial public offering. He began his private equity career at Sanderling.
Jim earned B.A.s in Molecular Biology and Scandinavian Studies from the University of California at Berkeley. Jim received his M.D. from Stanford University’s School of Medicine through the Medical Scientist Training Program, and earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from Stanford University, where he was a Beckman Scholar and received a bursary award from the Novartis Foundation.

BRENT AHRENS -GENERAL PARTNER AT CANAAN PARTNERS
Since joining Canaan in 1999, Brent Ahrens has led successful investments in novel medical products companies such as Cerexa, which was acquired by Forest Laboratories (FRX), one of the largest private biotech M&As in the industry’s history; DexCom (DXCM), the largest diagnostic IPO of 2005; Peninsula Pharmaceuticals, acquired by Johnson & Johnson (JNJ); Calixa, acquired by Cubist Pharmaceuticals (CBST); and Revivant, a cutting edge medical device company acquired by ZOLL (ZOLL). Prior to joining Canaan, Mr. Ahrens worked for General Surgical Innovations, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, and IAP Research, in a variety of sales, marketing, business development and technical roles. Mr. Ahrens currently sits on the boards of CoAxia; Data Sciences International; Durata Therapeutics; Elevation Pharmaceuticals, EndoGastric Solutions, Novare Surgical Systems; and Relievant Medsystems. Mr. Ahrens earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BS and MS in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton. George F. Horner III is a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical executive with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Currently, Mr. Horner is a biotech executive consultant for several private companies in the United States and Europe. Previous, he was CEO of Prestwick Pharmaceuticals, a CNS company that he directed to obtain FDA approval for Tetrabenazine (TBZ), the first drug ever licensed in the United States to treat Huntington’s Disease patients. Prior to that, Mr. Horner was CEO of Vicuron Pharmaceuticals, an anti-infective company that he grew from a market value of $12.8 million to a company sold to Pfizer for $1.9 billion. Additionally, he has held numerous executive, general management, business development and marketing/sales positions with Abbott Laboratories and E.R. Squibb across 4 continents, worldwide. Mr. Horner is Chairman of the Board of Creabilis Therapeutics of Luxembourg, Chairman of the Board of Omthera Pharmaceuticals of Bedminster, New Jersey, USA and member of the Durata Therapeutics board of directors.
